D’Agostino Deploying Price/Promo Optimization Solution

D’Agostino Supermarkets has begun deploying a price and promotion optimization solution across all 18 of its locations in Manhattan, Brooklyn, the Bronx, and Westchester County, to enhance its pricing strategies.

The grocer is working with Sacramento, Calif.-based Revionics to implement the solution. “We’ve always felt strongly about delivering innovations to our customers,” said Nicholas D’Agostino III, the fourth-generation owner and president of D’Agostino. “Today, of course, that can come in the form of technology as well as food. Since New Yorkers are the most demanding audience in the world, all that we do at D’Agostino is designed to help serve their needs and expectations. The Revionics price management system will help us better manage the pricing aspect of our business, allowing us to continue to exceed our customers’ expectations.”

The Revionics Advanced Pricing System (RAPS) was developed to optimally determine base pricing, promotional and ad pricing, temporary price reductions, and markdowns, and is available as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) subscription offering over the Internet.

Larchmont, N.Y.-based D’Agostino operates 15 stores in Manhattan and three in Westchester County (Chappaqua, Cross River and Rye Brook).
