Festival Foods First in Midwest to Carry Full Line of Coleman Meat
VADNAIS HEIGHTS, Minn. – Knowlan's Super Markets, Inc. here said Friday it plans to carry the complete line of Coleman Meats in all five of its Twin Cities Festival Foods stores.
Knowlan's CEO Marie Aarthun said she expects the full line of Coleman meat products
to be in all stores by mid-May. The inclusion of the Coleman brand is part of a concerted strategy at Knowlan's to be a leader in natural foods merchandising.
"We've expanded our natural product lines throughout all our stores," said Aarthun. "Many of our customers want to have those choices in their neighborhood grocery store and we're listening to them. Coleman has the longest running and strongest brand in the natural meats industry so they were a logical choice."
Coleman products are raised without added growth hormones or antibiotics.
The Festival Foods stores in Vadnais Heights, White Bear Lake, Andover, Brooklyn Park and Circle Pines, Minn. will create special destination sections to feature the brand, and will eventually carry the full line of steaks, chicken, sausage and pork products.
Festival Foods stores in St. Paul and Minneapolis are owned by Knowlan's Super Markets, Inc. The company owns five Festival Foods stores and two Knowlan's stores.
