Foodland Chooses Torex Retail's In Store Information Solution

HONOLULU -- The Foodland supermarket chain here will be installing ISIS, a Microsoft.net based point-of-sale, back office, and multistore management solution from Cumberland, R.I.-based Torex Retail Americas, a worldwide retail solution provider. The ISIS solution, along with IBM servers and IBM SurePOS terminals, will roll out in 29 Foodland supermarkets and seven Food Pantry and Malama Market stores over the following year.

Foodland selected the solution to improve customer service and improve front-end operations and overall efficiency at its stores. The Foodland Maika'i loyalty program needed to be enhanced from a daily batch process to better serve their customers. Another factor in the choice of Torex Retail was its complete turnkey capability. Torex Retail will provide the ISIS solution, application development services, hardware procurement, integration and installation services, project management, and on-site solutions capability to aid in the implementation.

"ISIS...is clearly the most flexible solution available to meet our internal information objectives and enhance customer service," said Foodland c.i.o. Robert Murphy in a statement. "No other solutio company demonstrated this ability to meet our operation requirements. The ISIS open architecture enables seamless integration with our other companywide software packages."
"Installing Torex Retail solutions will enable Foodland to better manage their business and serve their consumers," adds Torex Retail c.e.o. Mike Hess. "Both Foodland and Torex Retail have a passion for customer service, as differentiators in the markets they serve."

Operating 29 Foodland and Sack N Save stores across Hawaii, family-run Foodland is a division of the Sullivan Family of Companies, which also includes Food Pantry, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, and Beard Papas.
