Foodland Super Market Completes Item and Price Management System Install

HONOLULU, Hawaii -- Foodland Super Market, Ltd., Hawaii's largest grocery store chain, yesterday completed the installation of its item and price management and receiving systems.

The retailer, with 29 Foodland Super Market and Sack N Save stores statewide, worked with integrated retail enterprise software solutions provider SofTechnics, Columbus, Ohio, to roll out its ChainTrack.HQ and SoftGrocer applications chain-wide.

"We believe that this is the management solution we need to optimize item and price information at the headquarters and store level," said Robert Murphy, Foodland Supermarket's v.p. and c.i.o. "In addition, we were pleased with SofTechnics' approach, implementing the solution to our business process, not requiring Foodland to change our practices to meet their software requirements."

ChainTrack.HQ is a full-featured item and price management system that provides for centralized management of the item information required to support retail store operations. It enables Foodland to achieve a high level of automation in the pricing process and utilizes advanced technology to integrate price and item management, invoice auditing, ad planning, and data warehousing with the Store ISP (In-Store Processor).
