Fresh Brands Names CFO
SHEBOYGAN, Wis. - Fresh Brands Inc. has named S. Patric Plumley as senior VP, CFO, treasurer and secretary. Plumley has nearly 30 years of experience in the retail supermarket business with an extensive background in regional and national chains.
"Pat will be a valuable addition to our management team and will play a key role in executing our growth strategies," said Elwood F. Winn, president and CEO of Fresh Brands Inc., a supermarket retailer and grocery wholesaler that operates corporate-owned retail, franchised and independent supermarkets.
Before joining Fresh Brands, Plumley was senior VP, CFO, secretary and director of Eagle Food Centers Inc., the Milan, Ill.-based supermarket chain. Prior to 1997 he served three years as senior VP, administration, with American Stores' Super Saver Food Division in Salt Lake City, Utah. From 1986 to 1994 he held positions including senior VP, administration, and VP, controller, for Lucky
Stores Inc., Dublin, Calif. He began his career in 1973 with the Kash n' Karry retail food chain in Tampa, Fla.
Fresh Brands' supermarkets operate under the Piggly Wiggly and Dick's Supermarkets brands. The company currently has 74 franchised supermarkets, 28 corporate-owned stores, three distribution centers and a centralized bakery/deli production facility. Stores are located throughout Wisconsin and northern Illinois.
