Gift Cards Now Available at Roundy's

MILWAUKEE - Roundy's, Inc. said last week it has started selling gift cards for popular national retailers, restaurants, hotels, movie theaters, and other businesses at its Pick 'n Save, Copps Food Center, and Rainbow Foods supermarkets in Wisconsin and Minnesota.

Shoppers can select from 23 gift cards, including Nordstrom, the Home Depot, Bed Bath and Beyond, Starbucks, Toys "R" Us, Marriott, and Blockbuster. The cards are now available for sale in checkout lines.

"Studies show that last holiday season, 70 percent of shoppers bought a gift card in November and December, and this year, 74 percent of shoppers say they'll buy at least one as a holiday gift," said David Acchione, Roundy's v.p. of procurement and merchandising. "We've always worked to be a one-stop grocery shop for our customers, and with the addition of these new gift cards, we can be a one-stop gift shop, as well. Gift cards are the perfect present -- they allow recipients to choose exactly what they want and need. Through our program, customers can pick up gift cards for everyone on their list, without having to travel from store to store. We think it's a great service, and we're pleased to offer these gift cards at all of our supermarkets."

The cards cost from $25 to $100.

Roundy's, Inc. supplies more than 800 independent supermarkets throughout the Midwest. In addition, the company is a leading area grocer in Wisconsin and Minnesota, running 127 stores under the Pick 'n Save, Copps Food Centers, and Rainbow Foods banners. The company employs more than 20,000 associates throughout its entire network.
