'Incredibles' Collectible Pins Exclusively at Vons and Pavilions
ARCADIA, Calif. - Through the end of the year, Vons and Pavilions supermarkets are offering shoppers the chance to be "community heroes" by purchasing all six collectible pins featuring characters from the Walt Disney/Pixar Animation Studios film "The Incredibles." The items are available only at Vons and Pavilions, with 100 percent of the proceeds of each $2 sale going to America's Second Harvest food banks in the communities the supermarkets serve.
America's Second Harvest is the country's largest domestic hunger-relief organization, with a national network of more than 200 regional food banks and food-rescue programs in all 50 states and Puerto Rico.
The retailer hopes to raise more than $500,00 to help needy families.
Vons is a division of Safeway, Inc., which operates more than 1,700 stores in the United States and Canada, including 319 Vons and Pavilions stores in Southern California and Southern Nevada.
