It's Official: Sun Cap, Marsh Deal Formally Done

INDIANAPOLIS -- A new era in the storied history of Marsh Supermarkets Inc. here has dawned with the completion of its acquisition by MSH Supermarkets, Inc., an affiliate of Boca Raton, Fla.-based Sun Capital Partners, Inc., for a total price tag of $325 million.

As previously reported, Frank Lazaran, former president and c.e.o. of Jacksonville, Fla.-based Winn-Dixie Stores Inc. and, prior to that, president of Safeway's Randall's Food Markets division in Houston, has been named president and c.e.o., replacing the outgoing Don Marsh.
