Kraft Foods Launches Program to Support Diabetics

NORTHFIELD, Ill. -- Kraft Foods Inc. here unveiled a comprehensive initiative --"Good Eating, Good Living" -- to provide support for the millions of Americans living with diabetes.

Highlights of the new effort, which is part of the company's continued focus on relevant programs for both consumers and its business growth, include a new a syndicated radio show, ongoing direct mail publication and Web site intended for people with diabetes and their caregivers.

The Good Eating, Good Living radio show, hosted by health and lifestyle expert and registered physician assistant Amy Hendel, features segments with registered dietitian and certified diabetes educator, Edye Wagner. It is scheduled to air for 22 episodes beginning August 25 in 31 cities across the country.

The new initiative comes amid Kraft's campaign to inform consumers that many of its products can fit into a well-balanced diet, and that people living with diabetes can still enjoy great-tasting, convenient foods and their favorite brands, including Post Shredded Wheat, Triscuit crackers, Crystal Light, and select South Beach Diet products, among others.
