Nash Finch Launches Pricing Initiatives with Revionics

EDINA, Minn. -- Nash Finch Co. here has signed on with Revionics, Inc. to provide price optimization technology services in a deal that represents the latter company’s largest customer contract to date.

Under the agreement, Revionics will provide price and promotion optimization technology and services for Nash Finch’s corporate stores. Additionally, Revionics is offering a suite of optional price and promotion optimization services to Nash Finch’s independent retail customers.

“Nash Finch has been diligently working on a series of new pricing initiatives designed to make our corporate retail stores and our independent retail customers far more competitive in our various markets,” said Howard Befort, s.v.p./center store services, Nash Finch. “We realized that the successful implementation of our initiatives would require the deployment of an advanced price optimization system.”

Nash Finch distributes food and related products to independent retailers and military commissaries in 31 states, the District of Columbia, Europe, Cuba, Puerto Rico, the Azores and Egypt. The company also owns and operates a base of retail stores, primarily supermarkets under the Econofoods, Family Thrift Center and Sun Mart trade names.
