MINNEAPOLIS -- Joseph Friedman, former director of pharmacy at Topco Associates LLC, has joined Nash Finch Co. here in the newly-created position of senior director/pharmacy marketing.

Friedman, who brings more then 25 years of experience in healthcare marketing and sales in the retail, pharmaceutical, hospital, and managed care industries, will report to Christopher Brown, e.v.p./food distribution.

"[Friedman's] broad ranging experience in pharmacy sales and marketing will be of great value as we continue to implement Operation Fresh Start," said Brown, speaking of the company's strategic plan set in motion last November to sharpen its response to industry, consumer, and market trends.
