Pick 'n Save Celebrity Shopping Cart Race Benefits Food Bank

Roundy's Supermarkets donated nearly $2,000 to America's Second Harvest of Wisconsin following a Celebrity Shopping Cart Race at the Pick 'n Save in West Allis, Wis.

The Celebrity Shopping Cart Race kicked off the 11th Annual Stuff the Bus food drive -- a one-day marathon event that will begin at 5 a.m. and wrap up at 6 p.m later this month.

In advance of the Stuff the Bus food drive, customers are being asked to bring non-perishable food items to help feed the hungry in Wisconsin this holiday season to help meet this year's goal of 200,000 pounds of donated food, paramount being canned fruits and vegetables, canned soups, rice, beans, tuna, cereal, peanut butter and jelly. The drive is also accepting frozen turkeys and monetary donations.

Roundy's Supermarkets, Inc. operates 152 retail grocery stores under the Pick 'n Save, Copps, Rainbow and Metro Market banners in Wisconsin and Minnesota.
