Price Chopper Kicks off Two-week-long Anniversary Parties in Connecticut
SCHENECTADY, NY -- Price Chopper Supermarkets here is marking its 10th anniversary in Connecticut by throwing two-week parties at its locations in the Nutmeg State. Storewide anniversary festivities, which began yesterday, include customer appreciation coupons; contests; prizes; activities for the kids, such as free press-on tattoos and balloons; and finger foods from stores' pizza, deli and specialty, stations.
To further celebrate the occasion, each store will host a free shopping spree for one customer during each of the two anniversary weeks. Also during the celebrations, each store manager will pick 100 customers per week for two weeks to receive a $5 Customer Appreciation coupon. Finally, a Central Market Classics gift basket drawing will be held on successive Sundays, March 19 and March 26, with two winners chosen each Sunday.
On March 16, from 5 p.m.-7 p.m., an event at each Connecticut Price Chopper will allow customers the chance to meet their management team and sample foods throughout the stores.

The family-owned Golub Corp. owns and operates more than 100 Price Chopper grocery stores in New York, Vermont, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire. Golub's approximately 23,000 associates collectively own 55 percent of the company's privately held stock.
