Rich's Wendy Barth Receives Award From College Foodservice Association

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Wendy Barth, s.v.p./foodservice marketing for Rich Products Corp. here recently received the Richard Lichtenfelt Award presented by the National Association of College & University Food Services (NACUFS).

The award, named after the association's first president, is given annually to an individual(s) for outstanding service to NACUFS on the national level.

Over the past two years, Barth has served as the first guest director on the NACUFS board of directors, during which time she was also an active member of the NACUFS marketing project team, for which she was instrumental in planning the group’s long-term strategies and directions. Other contributions included serving on two additional project teams (the board leadership team and the visioning summit team), in addition to her overall support of NACUFS strategic plan documents and project team charter templates, which help the president succinctly and comprehensively set the charge for each project team.

"Wendy challenged the status quo, helped the board think 'outside the box,' and stretched us beyond our comfort level," said NACUFS past president Sharon Coulson, director, dining services, associated students, University of California. "Her marketing acumen, ability to think and react strategically, and the degree to which she could communicate made her not only a great leader and board member, but [also] a great role model for many of us on the board."

"This award is truly an honor for Wendy and for Rich Products Corp.," said Kevin Malchoff, Rich’s group president, United States/Canada. "Her contributions at Rich's are invaluable, and we certainly support all of her efforts as she shares her knowledge and talents with customers and leaders in our industry."
