Roundy's Inc. to Purchase Prescott's Supermarkets
PEWAUKEE, Wis. - Roundy's Inc. on Wednesday said it has signed an agreement to purchase all of the outstanding common stock of Prescott's Supermarkets Inc., which operates seven Pick 'n Save grocery stores located in Fond du Lac, Oshkosh, and West Bend, Wisc. Prescott's also owns and operates Everix Bakery in Fond du Lac, Wisc.
This adds to the four Pic ?n Saves that Roundy?s acquired earlier this year and the three Rainbow stores it acquired from Fleming Cos. last week.
The transaction is expected to be completed within the next 60 days.
Roundy's Inc. is one of the largest food wholesalers and retailers in the Midwest, currently supplying more than 800 stores in 14 states. In addition, Roundy's is the largest food retailer in Wisconsin with its Pick 'n Save Stores and Copps Food Centers.
