Sedano’s Debuts 3 Stores in Orlando Area

Sedano’s Supermarkets, the top Hispanic retailer in the United States, last week bowed three central Florida locations in the Orlando region. The stores, which were acquired last year from Albertson’s, LLC, range in size from 58,000 square feet to 65,000 square feet. Two stores are in Orlando, while one is in Kissimmee.

The stores mark Sedano’s first expansion beyond its south Florida hometown market and bring the total number of the Miami-based company’s locations up to 34.

“Introducing Sedano’s Supermarkets to the Orlando area has always been a part of our long-term expansion plans for the chain,” noted the retailer’s director of marketing, Javier Herrán.

Although the new stores are undergoing a monthlong renovation they will remain completely operational during that period, as the remodeling will occur after hours. Following the conversions, the stores will feature Sedano’s signature prepared foods section, an overhauled custom-cut meat department, a wide variety of products, and a cafeteria offering espresso and pastelitos.

Sedano’s has over 3,000 employees and locations in Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Orange and Osceola counties.
