SimonDelivers.com, U.S. Bank Strike Marketing Alliance

MINNEAPOLIS -- In an effort to provide its Internet customers the same convenience brick-and-mortar supermarkets offer with in-store banking, online grocer SimonDelivers.com has embarked on a partnership with Minneapolis-based U.S. Bank to drive new customers to each other's respective businesses.

Beginning this week, individuals who open a new checking account and online bill pay with U.S. Bank at one of its traditional locations will receive a $30 gift certificate to SimonDelivers, with the opportunity to earn additional gift certificates. Additionally, U.S. Bank and SimonDelivers are offering anyone a chance to win one of two grand prizes -- a year of groceries at no charge.

"This is what partnerships are all about," says Christopher Brown, SimonDelivers c.e.o. "Both U.S. Bank and SimonDelivers will benefit from driving new customers while leveraging each other's resources like marketing and communications, and even employees. Twin Cities residents are going to benefit by aligning themselves with two trusted brands and receiving $30 in groceries."

Customers will also have the opportunity to earn additional SimonDelivers gift certificates for opening other new accounts with U.S. Bank, such as Visa credit cards, home equity loans and lines of credit, CDs, or savings accounts.

"We are always looking for creative new ways to offer value to our customers and this is one example of a clever collaboration that directly benefits new U.S. Bank customers and customers of our partner, SimonDelivers," said Christine Hobrough, region manager for U.S. Bank in the Twin Cities.

SimonDelivers and U.S. Bank will be promoting this partnership to employees and customers of each other's respective businesses, as well as the local marketplace. This offer is open to all residents who reside in the serviceable market of SimonDelivers.

SimonDelivers.com, an online home grocery delivery company, offers delivery of grocery, general merchandise, fresh meat, produce, deli and seafood, national and local brands, and wine and spirits throughout metro Minneapolis and St. Paul, as well as Rochester, Minn. and Hudson and Prescott, Wis.
