Tesco Sees Strong Sales Growth in Third Quarter
LONDON - Tesco, the UK's leading supermarket group, said total group sales rose 12.2% in the 14 weeks to November 17, the Financial Times reported today. The increase was driven by core UK performance, increasing importance of non-food sales, growing international business, and developing retail services.
Total UK sales rose 9.2 % in the period with like-for-like sales up 6.4%. Total international sales rose 34%.
