Tree of Life Appoints Publix Account Manager, V.P. of Sales for East Region

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- Natural and specialty food distributor Tree of Life, Inc. has made two key appointments to its East Region sales team. Ronald W. Turner has been named regional v.p. of sales, while James C. Ford has been named national account manager for Lakeland, Fla.-based Publix Super Markets.

Turner will be responsible for leading Tree of Life's East Region sales initiatives as they relate to supermarket customers, including Price Chopper, Wakefern, Winn-Dixie, Penn Traffic, Kings, and Grand Union. Turner joins Tree of Life with nearly 30 years of experience in the sales, marketing, and procurement of specialty and natural foods. He has held senior sales and marketing positions at Hagemeyer, Richfoods, Wetterau, and Procter & Gamble.

Ford will be responsible for ensuring excellence in customer service and support to Publix Super Markets. In addition, he will be responsible for overseeing the activities of Tree of Life's current Publix account support team. Ford joins Tree of Life with over 22 years of prior sales and marketing experience, most recently as director of natural foods at Kellogg, where he managed the Morningstar Farms brand. In addition, he has held positions as v.p. of sales at Frontier Natural Products and at Vista Sales and Marketing.
