United Supermarkets to Install Price Modeling and Optimization Software

United Supermarkets said it plans to deploy a price modeling and optimization solution to enhance its pricing strategy and deliver better value to its shoppers.

The grocer said it selected KSS Retail to provide the solution. "United is an organization that is dedicated to providing exceptional service and value to our loyal guests,” said Chris St. Clair, v.p. and c.i.o. of United. “We believe that KSS Retail will provide us the enhanced toolset to more effectively execute our pricing strategy across both promotional and everyday-priced items while identifying missed opportunities to offer better value to our guests. Our goal is to provide our customers with quality, value, and service, and we are confident that KSS Retail will help us to continue to meet these objectives in this unprecedented time of food-based commodity price fluctuation."

United joins a growing list of retailers – many of which are also independents -- that have recently selected KSS Retail for price optimization, including Raley's, Haggen, Brookshire Brothers, Cumberland Farms, and Super S Foods.

United, based in Lubbock, Texas, operates 48 supermarkets throughout North Texas and the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.
