Weis Markets names Bob Mawyer VP of IT
Weis Markets, which operates 155 stores in Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, and West Virginia yesterday hired Bob Mawyer as v.p. of information technology.
Mawyer has worked in food retailing since 1981 and has over 30 years of experience in information technology and information systems. Most recently, he was director of information systems at Giant Food in Carlisle, Pa. Prior to this, he was a long-time employee of Giant of Landover.
Mawyer also held management roles in database administration and security and UNIX technical systems (hardware and software). He has extensive experience in information technology relating to marketing and merchandising, supply chain, and retail in-store management in support of corporate and store applications.
