Whole Foods Offers Pick-up Service to New Orleans Customers

AUSTIN, Texas -- Whole Foods Market has begun offering pick-up service for shoppers in the New Orleans area until its two hurricane-damaged stores in uptown New Orleans and Metairie reopen.

According to a report in BizNewOrleans.com, customers can call in their order to Whole Foods via a toll-free number, and the items are delivered the following day at the Metairie store location.

The service is available Monday through Friday, and orders must be placed using credit cards or checks between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., according to the report. Customers can pick up their groceries the following business day between noon and 4 p.m.

Whole Foods said each grocery order would be delivered directly from refrigerated trucks to customers' cars.
