First Organic Production and Marketing Summit Slated at 2006 All Things Organic

GREENFIELD, Mass. -- The first North American Summit on Organic Production and Marketing is set to take place at the All Things Organic Conference & Trade Show, from May 7 to May 9 at the McCormick Place Convention Center in Chicago. The Organic Trade Association (OTA), together with the National Association of State Organic Programs (NASOP), will host the summit.

During the event U.S., Canadian, and Mexican industry and government representatives will provide industry members from across the supply chain with the latest information on organic programs, according to the event's organizers. Attendees will be able to hear first-hand what county, state, provincial, and federal agencies are doing to help sustain and promote production and marketing of organics. They'll also find out about some of the challenges facing those attempting to manufacture and export North American organic products to other continents.

The summit and All Things Organic are co-located with four other trade shows: the FMI Show, the Spring Fancy Food Show, the U.S. Food Export Showcase, and the United Produce Conference & Expo.
