Hain Buys Non-dairy Drink Maker Imagine
UNIONDALE, N.Y. - Hain Celestial Group Inc., the maker of natural foods such as Terra Chips vegetable snacks, said on Monday it has acquired privately held non-dairy beverage company Imagine Foods Inc. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The acquisition of Imagine, which makes rice- and soy-based beverages and frozen desserts, will help Hain expand its reach in non-dairy beverages, while Imagine's line of organic soups will give it a stronger foothold in the ready-to-eat soup category, Hain said.
