Meyer Natural Angus Ropes Coleman Natural Foods' Beef Business
Meyer Natural Angus said it plans to purchase Coleman Natural Foods' beef business, in a transaction between the two Colorado-based companies expected to close by June 1.
Meyer Natural Angus said the addition of Coleman's natural and organic beef business will enable it to significantly expand its position in the rapidly growing market for premium quality natural beef. The sale in turn will allow Coleman Natural Foods to focus on continued strong growth in its other businesses, including natural poultry, pork, and prepared foods.

"With the addition of the Coleman Natural beef business, we will expand our market presence, associate with a brand that has been an innovator in natural beef and be in a position to provide superior service to the many customers of the Coleman Natural and Meyer Natural Angus brands."
