Nash Finch Readies to Open New Everyday Value Format Store

Officials from Nash Finch Co. are poised to welcome customers to a new-format Family Fresh Market at 2351 Coulee Road in Hudson, Wis., June 12. The store marks the introduction of Nash Finch's new everyday value retail format.

Among the new features of the store will be Angus Pride beef from a full-service meat counter featuring "Our Signature Service" provided by trained butchers and a wide variety of seafood offerings, including fresh salmon fillets, wild in-season offerings, and a well-trained staff to help with product selection.

The fresh produce department will feature 150 organic products available daily, natural bulk foods, and an extensive line of healthy-living fruit juices and fresh-cut fruit. The floral shop at Family Fresh Market, Flowers Too, will offer florist-quality flowers for every occasion, and on-staff creative designers can help custom-make an even more special bouquet, including for customers who bring in their own vase. High-quality baked goods will round out the new perishable offerings, including premium artisan bread, bagels, rolls, pastries, and doughnuts.

Shopping for grocery items will also be easier, due to the store's revised layout that highlights values with lower everyday retail prices on thousands of items. In addition, shopping for a well-balanced lifestyle will be made easier with the Well Balanced symbols throughout the store, which will guide customers to products, knowledge, and services for eating and living well.

Mike Mills, v.p./retail operations for Nash Finch, says Hudson shoppers will now find "impeccable perishables, including our old-fashioned service meat counter."

A highlight of the ribbon cutting event feature a donation of one ton of Our Family food products to the Christian Food Cupboard of Hudson, as well as a book donation through the Nash Finch "Feeding Imagination" program to E.P. Rock and North Hudson schools. Additionally, shoppers will have the opportunity to register to win prizes totaling up to $20,000 in free groceries.
