Online Organic Meal Service to Launch Diet Detox Program

SEATTLE - Organic meal delivery service Delicious Planet will launch a detox menu plan this week to help consumers cleanse their bodies after holiday indulging.

The detox program, set to begin January 12, is a three-week regimen of organic meals and snacks that exclude gluten, dairy, corn, egg, soy, and citrus.

According to founder and c.e.o. Randi Carter, those following the regimen learn that everything they put into their bodies really does matter. "What you eat really does contribute to how you feel and look day to day, and the detox food plan brings that into clear focus," said Carter.

The program was designed to alleviate symptoms caused by poor diets, including tiredness, depression, skin conditions, and bloating, and to reset taste buds so cravings for salt and sugar are lessened.

The plan costs $295 per person per week, and all meals and snacks are delivered twice a week to their doors. The detox programs will be offered on a quarterly basis -- in January, April, July, and October.
