Pets Fetch Healthier Diets at Wal-Mart

BENTONVILLE, Ark. -- Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. is bringing the whole health trend to its pet category, adding a line of natural and organic pet food at 1,500 stores.

Supplied by Natural Life, the food is made in certified organic facilities that meet all local, state, and federal regulations. Each Natural Life product is made with no artificial preservatives, colors, or flavors, and include only wholesome meats like chicken, lamb, and venison, and is preserved naturally with vitamins C and E, never chemicals, according to the company.

Natural Life recipes also contain "chelated minerals," that are absorbed directly into the bloodstream. Natural Life is also fortified with Ester-C, the highest form of vitamin C, which helps animals with arthritis or other degenerative joint disorders, such as hip dysplasia.
