Sprouts to Harvest New Store in McKinney, Tex.

Natural and organic foods retailer Sprouts Farmers Market said it will continue a planned Texas expansion with a new store in McKinney set to open this fall.

The new 28,000-square-foot store will join existing locations in Plano, Flower Mound, Southlake, Frisco, and Dallas. The grocer plans to open another store in Richardson this summer as well.

According to Sprouts, MiKinney is the state’s fastest growing city, and consumer demand drove its decision to open a store there.

“The community of McKinney has expressed great interest in a Sprouts market of their own,” said Doug Sanders, Sprouts’ c.o.o.

Sprouts 2008 growth strategy also includes new stores in Colorado, Dallas/Ft. Worth, and Southern California later this year.

Sprouts currently operates 25 stores in Arizona, California, Texas, and Colorado.
