Sprouts Plants Seeds for 2 Colorado Stores in '08

PHOENIX -- Natural and organic foods retailer Sprouts Farmers Market said it plans to expand its operations to Colorado with two new locations -- Westminster and Parker – set to open in summer and fall 2008 respectively.

"We look forward to helping customers continue their healthy lifestyles," said Shon Boney, Sprouts c.e.o. "As the creators of the original ‘farmers market’ style natural foods stores, we’ll introduce our farm fresh produce, extensive selection of natural and organic meats, vitamins, groceries, and many unique products from around the world to residents of these two great communities."

Sprouts said Denver, as one of the top green cities, and one of the Top 20 Fittest Cities (named by MSNBC), Denver is the perfect fit for Sprouts and the philosophies it promotes.

"I have followed recent reports on which cities strive for a healthier lifestyle and look forward to celebrating these choices as we welcome Denver residents into our markets," said Boney.

Sprouts operates 24 stores dedicated to serving the demand for more natural foods in Arizona, California, Texas, and soon Colorado. It specializes in farm fresh produce, purchased from local growers whenever possible, and also offers a selection of vitamins and supplements, all natural meats, fresh seafood, bulk foods, natural and organic grocery items, rBST free milk, imported cheeses, and deli meats.
