Regional independently-owned chain Rouse's Supermarkets plans to deploy a price and promotion optimization solution to enhance its everyday pricing, promotional planning and support, category analytics, and scenario and modeling functions.
The Thibodaux, La.-based grocer will work with Sacramento, Calif.-based Revionics, which will host and support the Web-based solution.
"The addition of price and promotion optimization to our technology will allow us to build profits while focusing on our customers and the services we provide," said Tommy Rouse, managing partner and v.p. of information systems. "Cost increases are unprecedented this year, and optimization will ensure we are making the right pricing decisions as customers grow more sensitive to the cost of living."
Rouse's operates 37 stores in Louisiana.
