NOVOSIBIRSK, Russia -- Holiday Classic, retail food chain in Western Siberia, yesterday successfully completed implementation of a new supply chain solution at its 65,000-square-foot distribution center here, in order to gain greater visibility into its logistics data.
The retailer installed Manhattan Associates' Integrated Logistics Solutions built on Microsoft .NET. "We made a software choice in line with our company policy -- to select only the best technology solutions available on the market," commented Aleksey Zacharov, general director at Holiday Classic. "[The solution] allows us to apply industry best practices drawn from Manhattan Associates' experience of serving the retail sector around the globe."
The solution includes processes for item receiving and put-away, inventory optimization and replenishment, cycle counting, kitting, stock allocation, picking, and dispatch. The solution also facilitates instantaneous data exchange with Holiday Classic's host systems to provide decision-makers with real-time visibility of inventory and operational activities for optimizing the retailer's supply chain performance, according to Manhattan Associates.
Holiday Classic operates 60 supermarkets and hypermarkets, and plans to grow its store network to 200 shops across the entire Eastern and Western regions of Siberia by 2011.
