Active On-Demand, a provider of on-demand transportation management services, tapped Atlanta-based Inovis to automate the delivery of electronic invoices and shipment notices across its customer base of carriers and shippers.
Active On-Demand’s APT is an Internet-based transportation management system (TMS) that was developed to save retailers in unscheduled transportation costs – 20 percent to 45 percent, according to the vendor. APT connects commercial shippers with hand-delivered couriers, ground express truckers and dedicated air charters, matching requests to quotes and managing the end-to-end shipment process.
“The integration with Inovis products truly enhances APT’s world-class feature set and stands as a testimonial to Inovis’ software engineering talent,” said Chris Healy, CEO of Belleville, Mich.-based Active Aero Group, Active On-Demand’s parent company.
Inovis is enabling two new features in Active On-Demand’s latest offering, APT v3.0: Electronic Invoice Delivery, to improve cash flow by reducing accounts receivable cycle time, and Shipment Status Visibility, to save staff time by integrating data into customers’ back-office systems.
