    Safeway’s Colbourn Named SVP, Loyalty & Analytics

    Will direct loyalty marketing programs, customer analytics

    Safeway Inc. has promoted Keith Colbourn to SVP, loyalty and analytics, charged with overseeing the company’s portfolio of loyalty marketing programs and customer analytics. He will report directly to Diane Dietz, EVP and CMO.

    “We are fortunate to someone of Keith’s track record and experience taking on this important and expanded scope of responsibility,” said Dietz. “His demonstrated leadership skills and expertise have been integral to Safeway being well-positioned as a front-runner in the digital loyalty marketing space.”

    Colbourn joined Safeway in 2011 as group VP of loyalty marketing. Prior to that, he spent three years as a VP at Dunnhumby USA, a data analytics and loyalty marketing firm. He also has held leadership roles at FreshDirect in New York and The Loyalty Group/AIR MILES Rewards Program in Toronto, Canada.

    Pleasanton, Calif.-based Safeway operates 1,406 stores in the United States.
