    LONDON -- Sainsbury's Convenience, the convenience store division of Sainsbury Plc yesterday deployed a digital signage network for its in-store television.

    LONDON -- Sainsbury's Convenience, the convenience store division of Sainsbury Plc yesterday deployed a digital signage network for its in-store television.

    Firebrand Media, a certified partner of end-to-end digital signage software provider Scala, Inc., London, owns and operates the 180-store Sainsbury's network, which features advertising from companies such as Coca Cola, Camelot, Nestle, and Masterfoods.

    The solution provides screens at the checkout counter where customers are waiting in line, and audio which can be heard throughout the store, to keep customers engaged throughout the store. According to Scala, approximately 60 percent of the content is comprised of music, news, weather, or other editorial content that will attract the attention of shoppers.
