Salient Management Company, a global supplier of performance optimization software for large, transactional businesses, has tapped Minneapolis, Minn.-based HighJump Software as an OEM partner for its Salient Dashboard Miner and Dashboard Viewer to provide users with reporting options for direct-store-delivery to better measure and manage performance.

HighJump, a provider of supply chain management software with over 4,500 customers, is developing a new integrated solution for the direct-store-delivery market, based on Salient’s technology.

“The timing is perfect for Salient and HighJump to combine their leading technologies in the DSD industry,” said Guy Amisano, Salient CEO. “DSD companies are under tremendous pressure to reduce costs and improve profitability through more efficient supply chain management, while at the same time customer demands and expectations continue to increase. The Salient solution enables users to evaluate results, identify outliers and their root causes, and refine managerial decision making on the fly. HighJump Software offers supply chain management software developed to streamline the flow of inventory and information from supplier to store shelf. HighJump Software solutions for distribution and logistics, direct store delivery, trading partner connectivity, mobility and manufacturing include: warehouse management systems, transportation management systems, route accounting systems, manufacturing execution, mobile sales, ERP data collection and the TrueCommerce EDI Solutions Platform.

In other Salient news, David F. In this newly created role Giannetto will lead Salient’s “transformational services,” including the on-site client technical services and business consulting, and marketing efforts.

“Under David we will unify all of our consulting efforts from business to applications to organizational performance at the customer level, so that we have a single view point and method of execution,” said Salient’s Amisano. “This new role is in line with our fundamental mission of helping our clients operate as efficiently and profitably as possible.
