    Sam’s Club Using Deal Management Tech to Enhance eValues

    Its personalized member offers program to benefit from streamlined supplier collaboration

    Membership warehouse club retailer Sam’s Club plans to deploy new deal management software to enhance its eValues program.

    Sam’s Club will use San Mateo, Calif.-based DemandTec’s Deal Management solution to streamline the collaborative presentation, negotiation, reconciliation, and archiving of member offers and supporting supplier funds for its eValues program. With the efficiencies it expects to gain, Sam’s Club and its suppliers will be able to focus more time on developing more relevant, personalized offers for customers.

    DemandTec is working in conjunction with FICO, provider of Sam’s Club’s eValues program, to integrate Deal Management, streamline the process, and deliver highly targeted, timely offers to members of Sam’s Club.

    “Our strategy for eValues continues to focus on delivering highly targeted, relevant offers to our members,” said Catherine Corley, VP for membership at Sam's Club. “Through innovative uses of collaboration on the DemandTec network, we expect to better serve our members.”

    Deal Management is a component service of DemandTec End-to-End Promotion Management, a solution that includes related software services for managing the entire promotion process, from collaborative promotion planning and deal management to in-store execution and post-event analysis. DemandTec is an online network of shared software services and analytics that enables fact-based, analytics-driven collaboration between retailers and consumer products companies.

    In other DemandTec news, the company has delivered its latest services release. This update delivers several enhancements to support richer collaboration, improved trade planning efficiency and effectiveness, and extended shopper-centric retail planning and promotion capabilities.

    Enhancements to DemandTec services on the network include:
    DemandTec Connect: New moderated user groups facilitate peer collaboration and discussion by sharing DemandTec product usage ideas, suggestions, and roadmap direction. All community members can also maintain a professional biography and photograph to further support peer discovery and joint planning on the network.
    DemandTec Decisions: A simplified product workflow increases efficiency for scheduling and visualizing price and promotion activities, and introduces deeper insights through new performance metrics.
    DemandTec End-to-End Promotion Management: Embedded shopper insights dashboards introduce forecasts by defined shopper segments.
