SAP Upgrade Prepares FreshDirect for Growth

FreshDirect, the Long Island City-based online grocer, has completed a major upgrade of its SAP software in its application landscape in an effort to prepare the grocer for future growth.

The grocer worked with Durham, N.C.-based Freudenberg IT (FIT), an SAP-certified global provider of hosting and cloud services, on the upgrade. “At FreshDirect, we promise the freshest and highest quality foods conveniently delivered directly to the customer’s front door,” said Larry Roos, CIO at FreshDirect. “SAP software is the backbone of our operations, ensuring an optimal supply chain of products and timely delivery of goods. Since 2009, FIT has been hosting the SAP landscape used by FreshDirect.
