PHILADELPHIA -- Saint Joseph's University's food marketing department here is hosting a food industry summit, "Food On Demand: Battle for Share of the Stomach," on March 6, which will feature presentations from Bill Shaner, president and c.e.o. of Save-A-Lot; Hank Mullany, s.v.p. and president, Northeast Division of Wal-Mart; Kevin Havelock, president of Unilever U.S.; Alan Wilson, president and c.e.o. of McCormick & Co., Inc.; and Mark Allen, president & c.e.o. of International Food Distributors Association.
The summit invites attendees to collaborate on industry issues and share their expertise in food commerce, with a focus on "food on demand," a popular trend in the food industry with workdays getting longer and families getting busier.
"The positive feedback we've received from senior executives is that they are excited about attending this topical event and having the rare opportunity to network with their colleagues," said Robert Higgins, Center of Food Marketing executive director, in a statement.
