Supervalu-owned Save-a-Lot plans to deploy a supply chain and transportation management solution to help procure fresh products such as produce, flowers and meat more efficiently and cost-effectively.
The St. Louis-based grocer selected its collaborative Order Management and Transportation Optimization solutions from Pleasonton, Calif.-based iTradeNetwork, Inc. (ITN). The system, delivered in a Software-as-a-Service model, enables retailers to aggregate demand, improve order accuracy, price accuracy, and invoice match rates with their trading partners through a collaborative order-to-invoice solution leveraging a synchronized data foundation, according to ITN.
Save-A-Lot operates more than 1,150 value-oriented stores.
