Save Mart Aids Philippines Relief Efforts

Save Mart Supermarkets is aiding Typhoon Haiyan relief efforts in the Philippines by collecting donations for the American Red Cross at check out.

“We know that people want to help with the typhoon relief efforts, but may not know how or where,” said Steve Junqueiro, president and COO of Save Mart Supermarkets. “We have made donating to the disaster relief efforts as easy as scanning an item at checkout. All donations collected in the Save Mart family of stores will be given directly to the American Red Cross for their use in the recovery efforts in the Philippines.”

Modesto, Calif.-based Save Mart Supermarkets owns and operates 225 stores in Northern California and Northern Nevada under the Save Mart, S-Mart Foods, Lucky, Maxx Value Foods and FoodMaxx banners.
