Schnucks Joins Missouri's First Lady for Pink License Plate Push

Regional retailer gives pink packaged products top billing this month.

In conjunction with Schnucks Markets "painting its stores pink" with hundreds of pink labeled products in observance of October Breast Cancer Awareness Month,  Missouri's First Lady Melanie Blunt recently joined the family held chain to introduce Missouri Women's Council's Pink License Plates to benefit cancer treatments and research.

Applications for new pink license plates are available at all metro Missouri area U.S. Bank locations, including its in-store Schnuck Market branches. The proceeds from the sale of the license plates will help fund mammograms for women who are uninsured or under insured.

A variety of pink packaging on popular name brand and Schnucks brand products are highly visible throughout Schnucks' 103 store locations. "We hope to reinforce health and wellness by shining a spotlight on breast cancer awareness by encouraging early detection and treatment," said Jason Schnuck, event marketing manager for the regional grocer.
