Schnucks Unit Hosts Kids Voter Registration Drive

In a bid to get young people interested in the election process, St. Louis Cardinals mascot Fredbird will visit a Schnucks supermarket next Sat., Aug. 23 to meet young citizens and “register” them to vote as part of the Kids Voting program.

The store team at the Schnucks on Lindell Blvd. in St. Louis are working with representatives of Kids Voting Missouri, the St. Louis Election Board, Cardinals Care, and the St. Louis Public Schools to promote the importance of voting to local youth.

Children are also encouraged to bring their parents and help register them to vote.  Adult voter registration will take place from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.  Members on the St. Louis Election Board and other organizations will be on hand to conduct voter registration and verify addresses.

Schnuck Markets, Inc. operates 103 stores (including five Logli stores) and 100 pharmacies in Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Iowa, Tennessee and Mississippi.
