Schnucks Upgrades Fleet Efficiencies

In a bid to upgrade and enhance its fleet operations, Schnuck Markets, Inc. has signed on with XATA Corp. for its fleet management and optimization software and services solutions.

With more than 100 stores across seven states, The St. Louis-based family-owned and operated food and pharmacy retailer will use XATANET’s fleet operations software platform and services for real-time communications and for monitoring the performance of its 85-vehicle fleet of trucks.

“Schnucks is one of the few grocers that distributes its own goods, and the ability to improve our fleet operations and provide exceptional customer service is critical as we face growing industry demands,” said Bob Kramer, Schnucks’ director of transportation. “With XATANET, we are confident we will enhance fleet productivity, safety and compliance.”

David Gagne, EVP for the Minneapolis-based XATA Corp., said, “A growing company like Schnucks will benefit greatly from intelligent fleet management technology. The visibility XATANET provides will enhance Schnucks’ fleet operations, resulting in a safer, more efficient fleet that will also save costs and enhance customer service.”
