Scott Naturals Helps Shoppers Save Water

A family of four could conserve as much as 2,000 gallons annually.

To raise awareness of the fact that toilet flushing uses more water than any other activity in the home, and to make it easier for consumers to conserve water when they flush, the Kimberly-Clark Corp. (K-C) is offering the Smart Flush bag free with purchase of Scott Naturals bath tissue while supplies last.

When immersed in the toilet tank, material in the bag absorbs water and expands, reducing the amount of water used in each flush by as much as a liter. Using the bag, a family of four could save up to 2,000 gallons of water annually.

“K-C and the Scott Naturals brand are committed to sustainability and to preserving natural resources for future generations," noted Scott brand manager Doug Daniels. “The Smart Flush device makes it easy for consumers to conserve by reducing the water consumed by each toilet flush. This innovative solution aligns with Scott Naturals brand’s approach of making it easy for environmentally aware consumers to take a green step at home, without changing their normal routines.”

Backed by a national campaign including a dedicated TV spot and in-store video ads, the Smart Flush bag will be given away exclusively on Scott Naturals 8-pack and 12 pack bath tissue at retailers across the United States this month and October.

Scott Naturals from Dallas-based K-C offers a full line of environmentally friendly bath tissue, paper towels, napkins and flushable moist wipes, at value prices.
