Pittsburgh-based Shop ‘N Save now provides a way for its shoppers to track down special ingredients or the recipe for a dish they’d like to try. The independently owned and operated stores have launched “Our Kitchen Stories,” an online destination enabling visitors to swap recipes, photos, stories and memories that help define the culinary legacy of the communities the locations serve.
Our Kitchen Stories users can create a profile at www.ourkitchenstories.com and share recipes with other visitors and take part in other social networking activities. The recipes are classified by ingredients, type of meal, and cultural heritage.
“Our Kitchen Stories gives our customers the opportunity to share stories behind each of those meals in a dynamic new way,” said Bill Lipsky, area sales director for Minneapolis-based Supervalu, which supplies the over 70 Shop ‘N Save stores in western Pennsylvania, eastern Ohio and West Virginia.
