    Spartan’s Glen’s Banners Launch “yes” Customer Rewards Program

    Glen’s Markets is launching a new loyalty rewards program that aims to help add value to customers’ shopping trips by putting money back into their pockets via points that can be earned and exchanged for free products or additional price reductions on select in-store items.

    Dubbed simply “yes,” and poised to kick off June 7 in all of Spartan Stores’ 34 Glen’s Markets locations in northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula, the program, according to officials from the Grand Rapids, Mich.-based company, will offer enhanced value and benefits, particularly in light of today’s trying economic times.

    “Serving our customers in ways that bring them added value is very important to Glen’s Markets,” said Ken Thewes, Spartan’s VP of marketing. “It will definitely help us reward those customers who shop with us regularly, as the more they shop, the more they earn.”

    Customers are being encouraged sign up for a yes card in-store or online at www.glensmarkets.com/yes, and will and receive 100 points through June 20 just for signing up. During the sign-up process, customers will be asked to register their 10-digit phone number, which will be enable store associates to access their information at the front end in the event they forget their yes card.

    Blue signs throughout the store will designate specific products that earn yes points; red signs throughout the store show which products can be purchased with yes points.

    Customers can access yes point balances looking at the bottom of their shopping receipts, by checking online or by calling 1-888-880-yes1 (9371).

    To bolster interest in the new rewards program during the kickoff, Glen’s will host a promotional sweepstakes – “The Great yes Points Giveaway” – for which customers can turn yes prize points into free groceries for their families. Each time customers shop and scan their yes card at any of the 34 Glen’s Markets between June 7 and August 15, they will automatically be entered for a chance to win. Thirty-four weekly winners, one from each of our Glen’s Markets stores, will win 10,000 yes points each. Six grand prize winners will each be awarded 100,000 yes points at the end of the contest, and winners will be selected from all entries. The Great yes Points Giveaway will award a total of 4 million yes points to over 340 winners.
