SPINS, Andronico's Form Cross-channel Partnership

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. -- SPINS here, a data service provider for the natural products industry, has formed a new long-term partnership with Andronico's, an Albany, Calif.-based gourmet grocery operator to launch a key account data service featuring the first formalized key account data available for the specialty and gourmet grocery channel.

Through the partnership, Andronico's will gain access to category, brand, and item-level retail sales information, said SPINS.

"Accessing this data service will allow us to gain valuable insight into the performance of our stores and further strengthen our distinct product assortments," said Andronico's v.p. of grocery Gary Wallner in a statement.

The service will improve the companies' ability to track sales, execute merchandising and promotional programs, and make fact-based decisions, said Olson.

Andronico's operates eight stores in northern California.

SPINS' offering includes retail measurement services, content-based reporting, consumer information, and consulting services. The provider is a sister company of Progressive Grocer.
