Stater Bros. Completes Relocation to new Corp. Offices/DC

Stater Bros. this week completed the relocation to its new state-of-the-art corporate offices and Norton distribution center in San Bernardino, Calif., with the opening of its new 155,000-square-foot support services building.

The new building houses the retailer’s bakery division as well as its advertising, construction, maintenance, purchasing, store system and real estate departments. The relocation to the new facilities took over two years, and these employees are the last to make the move to their new home.

The Norton DC is the largest under-one-roof facility of its kind in the supermarket industry, according to Stater Bros. The site spans approximately 180 acres, which the Southern California grocer acquired from the former Norton Air Force Base. The DC replaced eight existing Stater Bros. DCs in Colton, Redlands, and Mira Loma, and, together with the company’s corporate offices, covers more than 2.3 million square feet.

Stater Bros. operates 167 supermarkets and employs more than 19,000 associates.
