Stater Bros. Supermarkets will give customers the opportunity to win free gas for a month in a new program it developed to help consumers offset the rising cost of fuel.
As part of the program -- which begins Wednesday, Aug. 6, and runs through Tuesday, Aug. 26, one customer per day at each of the 165 Stater Bros. locations will win $200 in gas cards. "Our customers are watching their dollars, and Stater Bros. is doing all we can to provide the best value in the products we sell and the services we provide," said Jack H. Brown, chairman and c.e.o. of Stater Bros. "For thousands of our customers to win a month of free gas just by doing what they already do is an added bonus."
Every Stater Bros. customer who purchases a minimum of $50 in eligible products will receive an entry form. Customers will receive additional entry forms for every $25 purchased over the initial $50 during the same transaction, and customers can receive up to five entry forms per transaction.
The net grocery purchase amount excludes items such as tobacco, alcoholic beverages, fluid milk products, prescriptions, lottery tickets, postage stamps, sales tax, CRV, money orders, and gift cards.
Entry forms will be automatically dispensed at each checkout counter, and an entry box will be located in the front of every store. Entry forms can also be submitted without purchase in accordance with the official rules, which can be obtained at each store and on the company's Web site (www.staterbros.com). Drawings for the winners will be held each morning at every Stater Bros. supermarket.
The names of the daily winners will be posted, and the prize winners will receive gas gift cards instantly at the store once positive identification has been presented.
Stater Bros. operates 165 supermarkets, and employs more than 19,000 associates.
